Units are normally bi-directional, but they can be supplied with single voltage control.

A remote shunt can be supplied that is fitted by passing the power cable through a hole in the shunt, this will normally take up to 75 sq mm cable and terminal. Larger cable size will require shunt head being fitted on cable before crimping the terminals on. A voltage pick-up is provided to pick up the remote battery voltage.

The shunt carries no load, has no connection with the cable and has infinite current overload. This makes it ideal for high capacity bow / stern thruster monitoring. Allowing both charge and current draw to be monitored, providing early indication motor problems.

Freshwater tank level can be monitored via two probes fitted in the top of the water tank. When the toggle switch is operated, the water level is displayed on the service battery ammeter.

Adjustment is provided to set reading to 100% tank level.

Shunsen is a shunt that monitors current flow is a circuit, if this exceeds a set level the unit interfaces with the VSR control and drops out that circuit. Depending on the installation and requirements this may be for a timed period, or based on current level. The system can be configured to protect the main supply, or the distribution to each circuit.

The current trip level and reset level are adjustable, allowing a system to be customised to a particular requirement.

Shunsen can be used where inverters, bow or stern thruster operation puts a high load on charge circuits and alternators. By dropping out the contactor the piece of equipment is forced to use it’s dedicated battery. As high grade contactors are used, they have a rupture capacity 50% higher than their continuous current rating.

Sytems can be supplied to suit alternative voltages, 12, 24, 36, and 48 volt DC, delivery is normally on 28 day for 36 and 48 volt units.

Optional contactor rating can be supplied that are sealed to IP66 we normally carry 12 V DC and 24 V DC in stock, but delivery may be up to 28 days,

Display options are many and varied, built up from a standard range of PCB’s, providing :-

Bar-graph using a 10 bar display volts or amps      with polarity indicator and high voltage alarm.

Digital display volts and amp, 3 x volts, 2 x amps

Digi-bar  monitors a multiple volts and amps      simultaneously, while digital gives detail reading.

Multiple digi-bar provides independent readouts for       each battery or load, both overall and detail.

Analogue drivers can be supplied to take shunt        output and feed most meter specifications.

system ONE options

System ONE has been design with flexibility of installation a priority, allowing a system to be customised to a boat or owners requirement. Below is a guide to what we can do from current options, if you have a requirement, or one outside the standard range contact us with your requirements

starter motor sense

The VSR control has a interface to monitor starter motor operation, dropping out the contactor to stop possible damage to secondary charge sources. This interface can also monitor bow and stern thruster operation.
